Unfortunately, these very characteristics make these cameras the perfect choice for unscrupulous voyeurs looking for cheap thrills.

Hidden cameras can be embedded in clocks, teddy bears, sun glasses, ink pens, smoke detectors virtually anything. You think the exit sign is just showing you the way out but it is also recording your actions in the room you are exiting. They are that good folks, these cameras can be hidden anywhere. Your employer could have one over your desk hidden in a light fixture. You'd never know.

Hidden cameras came in cabled and wireless varieties. The cabled models are used in situations where it would not be likely that a person could touch the concealed camera and see the cable coming out of it; whereas the wireless models are perfect for devices such as desk clocks, toys or radios where the item has a chance of being picked up.

The most common frequencies for wireless hidden cameras are 900MHz, 2400MHz and 5800MHz, when choosing pick the highest frequency you can afford. Higher is defiantly better in wireless security. The higher the frequency the further out you can put the camera from its receiver depending on obstacles of course.

Although hidden cameras aren't used much for identification purposes because the picture may not have the same quality of a fixed camera; you would still be able to make out what's going on in the area you are monitoring and who it is.
